Journey of Sunil Ghosh (My maternal uncle)

 From the very 12th standard my boromama started helping my Dadaji's medicine business,SREE KAALI MEDICAL HALL at paikpara, Kolkata. At the time of enjoyment he sacrificed his time to establish the pharmacy after my Dadaji's untimely death. He became the all covering umbrella of his mother, brothers and sisters, obeying all duties, He was brilliant in academics but couldn't go for higher studies to sustain his family,when all boys of his age were playing football,he learnt how to tackle patients with proper medicine,just like a doctor. His contribution to establish his younger Brethren and sisters 'marriage and their afterlife hazards ,is completely unforgettable. But at 2014 my Mamima, his wife Ranu Ghosh died of fire accident suddenly. After that the downfall of his business started. At 2021 he was attacked by cancer at prostate gland and spreading even in urine bladder. The chemotherapy at Tata medical arrested the cancer at the bladder and it was operated out. From ...

My mother 's journey of life

 To be very precise, about my mother,the only thing I can say is her tremendous perseverance and Honestly speaking her faith in Divine has got the true channelisation throughout her life which she is living.  A multi-talented lady only seeks her exploration in Astrology. Her self taught mastery over it has brought esteemed cooperation from her surrounders no doubt. Her faith in karma and prarabdha is starting the creation of a special heaven abode where she will peacefully reach in her after life. Every word falls short to define her character.

Paayesh (Dessert recipe)

 Paayesh is a popular Bengali dessert which is a bit lengthy to cook. Ingredients - Amul spray milk powder 500g, 500gGurer batashaa, 200 g Gobindo vog chaal, 50g kaaju nuts and 50g kismiss(soaked in water), a little micchri, 2 liters water. Process -  Take 2 liters of water in a big bowl. Heat the water and mix the milk powder into it.Stir continuously with laddle i.e haataa in Bengali. After the milk gets a bit thicker, pour 200 g washed Gobindo vog chaal into it. Stir the mixture upto boiling point. After the rice is somewhat boiled add water soaked kaaju nuts and kismiss,stir again for few minutes. Then add Gurer batashaa and micchri to it. Continuous stirring is compulsory to cook paayesh.  When the sweet smell starts to be aired,cover the bowl and turn off the gas. After a few minutes move the cover and look that your dessert is ready to serve. It's a bit reddish in colour. The quantity can be changed according to the need.

Friend's Anniversary 2026 and Photography

We enjoyed our friends Sanjay and Mamata's Marriage anniversary for the whole day. There came other friends too. We went there at noon and still evening we chatted, listening hindi music and Bengali,too. They cut the cake to celebrate the day and we had egg chicken biryani,paneer dum ,salad and chicken pakoda with cold drinks and wine. The weather was very good and it was breezing. We spent the day nicely. Here are some photographs I took of their garden and locality.They have Two daughters and they live in a pleasant atmosphere,a small house and a beautiful garden of flowers and fruits,as you see in the picture. It's a memorable day of 2026.

Red is the colour of valour, Colour of heat and health, The reddy flowers ' wealth, Naturally created glamour.

Attending a Marriage ceremony on our Marriage Anniversary 2026

  It became a Funday on 11th March,the day of our marriage,as we cancelled our personal foody program and attended a marriage ceremony of the daughter of my husband 's closer acquittance. We dressed stylish and went with our car and it was a long journey through Rajarhat,Eco park from Behala,Kolkata. We set out on 7.30 pm and reached the marriage hall at 10 pm. We enjoyed the journey but got troubled to find out the banquet. At last we reached there and enjoyed. They were very happy to receive us cordially,we Took photos, gifted a wrist watch and had tasty items. In starter we had fuchka,Aaloo tikiya chaat, chicken kabab,fish fingers, crispy chilli baby corn,paneer kabab,cold drinks like Fanta,Thums up, Sprite. In the main course we ate Dahi vada, peas kochuri, butter naan, steamed rice,salad,daal makhni, paneer gravy ,aaloor dom. Non veg was chicken curry and fish rezala. Daaliyar Polaao (Recipe)

 Ingredients - Daaliyar( broken wheat), chopped vegetables like carrot,beans, capsicum, cauliflower, potato, tomato etc. Fried nuts, kismis, refined oil, Garam masala, ghee, salt, sugar, water. Process - Dry fry the daaliya in a frying bowl, fry for sometime and turn off gas oven when it gets reddish hot. Put it apart to cool down. Now in the frying bowl pour a little refined oil,heat the oil and put garam masala into it.after the smell comes,fry all chopped vegetables for a few minutes. Then add the cooled down daaliya and mix all ingredients by stirring them with spatula or khunti. Add salt. water in double amount of daaliya. Keep the bowl covered for few minutes. Then test the whole matter has been boiled fully. Stir again to soak the water to make it neat,tidy,and tasty. Spread ghee lastly and stir again. Now it's ready to serve. It's a good nutritious veg breakfast or tiffin.

ANCHORING BY MY HUSBAND Tapas Kumar Sinha

My husband Tapas Kumar Sinha is excellent in Anchoring, Acting and Recitation. He performed numerous shows previously and is continuing it still now. At the day of Holi he was invited to anchor a show in the name of Basanta Utsav at Behala. The show was of 2 to 3 hours. He got huge applause after a compact anchoring and Recitation of KARNAKUNTI SANGBAAD from the book SANCHAITA BY RABINDRANATH TAGORE.  Everyone was eager to take selfie with him. It was a successful day with his full hearted voice flow in that show...... mesmerizing..... memorable.....ever Amazing.  

AS YOU LIKE (Poem)

 As you like my dear,as you like, It's the inner current gives hike, Use your foot to break the strike, have the strength enough, don't like? But if you like idleness, It's a barrier to conscience, Like anything you choose, Don't forget to paddle Push. Life is a journey of learning, It's like a reverie, instant burning, Dreaming the future fruit earning, Life is ' as you wish gardening '! Bees will come and go, But the run will never be slow, As you wish to live like snow, Melting and frozenning again to grow! Wish good morning and luck, To yourself and others,give huge hug, Take the Honey of life and start to suck, Throw away dull dreams and biting bug.

Fried Ghugni (Recipe)

 It's cooking Ghugni in an innovative way. Ingredients -  Kaabli channa and Matar( boiled in pressure cooker). Chopped potato, onion, onion shoots, capsicum.Green chillies, coriander powder, white cumin powder, Red chilli powder, Salt, sugar and refined oil, water, Frying bowl, Spatula or khunti. Process - Take a little amount of refined oil and heat it in the frying bowl.  Take 2 or 3 green chillies After heating,fry all chopped vegetables for 15 minutes with salt. Then add boiled Kaabli channa and Matar to it. Fry again for atleast 15 to 20 minutes by sprinkling water frequently. Add the masala powders in small quantities, at the last moment sprinkle some sugar to the preparation. Stir again to melt the sugar. Now the item is ready to serve. It's a kind of dish which can be called Fried Ghugni without gravy. Very delicious and easy to cook.

Old Bengali Movies (Retrospective)

 Old Bengali Movies have always been a thrilling sensation for me. Uttam Kumar and Suchitra Sen is like enveloping the black and white Era with their charm of real and reel life platonic chemistry. Their Jodi have performed innumerable films covering heavenly literary stories by grand writers of yore. Their era is now called ' The Golden age ' of Bengali film. But their are other films of that age which are worth mentioning. Other actors like, Bhanu bondhopadhya ,Jahar roy, Tarun kumar, chinmoy roy,Anil Chatterjee,Bikash roy,Chhobi Biswas,Pahari sanyal, kamal mitra, Savitri chottopadhay, Lily chakraborty, Supriya Devi,Namita Sinha,Jamuna Singha,Mala Sinha, Madhavi Mukhopadhyay,Tanuja,Arundhuti Devi - all are incredibly good in acting.  Ashok Kumar, Kishore Kumar as a singer and actor and other singer like Hemant Kumar, Shyamal mitra, Manna Dey, Manabendra Mukhopadhyay, Sandhya Mukhopadhyay,Gita dutta ,Aarati Mukhopadhyay,Nirmala Mishra, lata Mangeshkar,Ashaa bhonsle, Suman Kal...

GOBI BHUJIA (Recipe)

 Ingredients - Cauliflower ( phoolkopi or Gobi ),peas, chopped onion, onion shoots, capsicum cut into pieces, chilli powder, white cumin powder, coriander powder, refined oil, Salt. Procedure - Cut cauliflower into pieces and half boil it with water. Then pour out the water and take the Gobi pieces . Heat oil in frying bowl,add salt and then start frying chopped onion, chopped capsicum, chopped onion shoots. Fry them in a bit high flame and then add the half boiled Gobi pieces and peas, fry again. After frying add chilli powder, white cumin powder, coriander powder. Use spatula or khunti for flipping the whole matter. Flip it again and again. Taste the item to check the Salt and check it is properly cooked or not. It will taste salty and crispy. It's ideal to take with roti or rice and daal (pulses).

A Special Honour 2026 (26 th January)

It's an honourable day for my husband Tapas Kumar Sinha. A Republic day celebration where he is the special guest. Sports, cultural program, Rally all are held in  Behala , moina Gore and Shakuntala park where he is the president of the club. They invited him to attend the program and gave him a special honour with uttoriiyo and memento.  My husband is not only a pharmacy holder but a social worker too. He attends many programs and gets honoured as special guest very frequently. However, the day is memorable for me and him too.  

Saraswati Puja 2026

The Maha sarswati idol with Daaker saaj The pandal is as big as Durga Puja pandal. Durjoy with me   Durjoy with his team. This beautiful punjabi and dhoti is bought from Flipkart. Sankalpa by my cousin Durjoy (Gogol). The idol is getting garlanded. Durjoy with his mother Mita Bhattacharya,my pishi. DURJOY WITH HIS ELDER BROTHER RAJA MY ELDEST COUSIN and FAMILY MEMBERS. Today is the day of Auspicious Mahasaraswati puja. At paikpara, my brother Durjoy (Gogol) with his team arranged Saraswati Puja with all grandeur. This is the 15th year of Saraswati Puja celebration.I attended the Puja and offered Pushpanjali to the goddess. They decorated the idol with traditional Daaker saaj and all young boys helped my brother a lot to complete the process. Here is all the pictures displayed. At previous night Durjoy and his friends put their effort to do the crafts,i.e thermocol work with golden paper. While returning home I got to see another puja pandal of that locality,done by another team. He...
