GOBI BHUJIA (Recipe)

 Ingredients - Cauliflower ( phoolkopi or Gobi ),peas, chopped onion, onion shoots, capsicum cut into pieces, chilli powder, white cumin powder, coriander powder, refined oil, Salt. Procedure - Cut cauliflower into pieces and half boil it with water. Then pour out the water and take the Gobi pieces . Heat oil in frying bowl,add salt and then start frying chopped onion, chopped capsicum, chopped onion shoots. Fry them in a bit high flame and then add the half boiled Gobi pieces and peas, fry again. After frying add chilli powder, white cumin powder, coriander powder. Use spatula or khunti for flipping the whole matter. Flip it again and again. Taste the item to check the Salt and check it is properly cooked or not. It will taste salty and crispy. It's ideal to take with roti or rice and daal (pulses).

A Special Honour 2026 (26 th January)

It's an honourable day for my husband Tapas Kumar Sinha. A Republic day celebration where he is the special guest. Sports, cultural program, Rally all are held in  Behala , moina Gore and Shakuntala park where he is the president of the club. They invited him to attend the program and gave him a special honour with uttoriiyo and memento.  My husband is not only a pharmacy holder but a social worker too. He attends many programs and gets honoured as special guest very frequently. However, the day is memorable for me and him too.  

Saraswati Puja 2026

The Maha sarswati idol with Daaker saaj The pandal is as big as Durga Puja pandal. Durjoy with me   Durjoy with his team. This beautiful punjabi and dhoti is bought from Flipkart. Sankalpa by my cousin Durjoy (Gogol). The idol is getting garlanded. Durjoy with his mother Mita Bhattacharya,my pishi. DURJOY WITH HIS ELDER BROTHER RAJA MY ELDEST COUSIN and FAMILY MEMBERS. Today is the day of Auspicious Mahasaraswati puja. At paikpara, my brother Durjoy (Gogol) with his team arranged Saraswati Puja with all grandeur. This is the 15th year of Saraswati Puja celebration.I attended the Puja and offered Pushpanjali to the goddess. They decorated the idol with traditional Daaker saaj and all young boys helped my brother a lot to complete the process. Here is all the pictures displayed. A Special day 2026

  Today is a Special day because I spent the whole day with my sister cum friend Rimjhim, after a long time. She is doing Corporate job in Bangalore, recently reached Kolkata to spend holidays with his father. I am also in a tight schedule with study,but somehow managed to meet her today. I reached her home at 11 : 30 AM and came back to my home at evening 8 o'clock. I met uncle, Rimjhim 's father after a long time. He is so amazing a person to mingle with. We chatted the whole day about books and writing,and many other things we discussed. I gifted her a red scarf bought by my husband. She attended me very amicably and after lunch we went to the roof, It was a Sunny day and we took snaps as displayed above. Her mother' s photograph remains with her always. She passed away 2 years ago but her presence we feel ardently. Our lunch went with khichuri, Begun vajaa (Fried brinjal),penyaji( onion fried with Besan), and omlette. Tasty Cabbage Paste (Recipe)

 Things needed - Chopped and boiled cabbage and potato, black cumin seeds, methi ( Fenugreek)seeds, sugar,salt, turmeric powder, white cumin powder, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, kashundi (mustard sauce), tomato ketchup, chilli powder,very little refined oil. Process - Smash the boiled cabbage and potato,make a smooth paste, in the frying bowl pour a little refined oil and turn on the gas oven. When the oil gets hot put a few black cumin seeds and methi seeds and ginger garlic paste as phoron ( condiments). Then pour the paste in it ,stir with a spatula or khunti. Add salt, sugar, coriander powder, cumin powder, Dhaniya powder, chilli powder and a little turmeric powder. Stir the whole thing in medium flame. The water will be dried up . Then add kashundi (fermented mustard sauce) and tomato ketchup. Make a tight dough by stirring it constantly.  Serve with white rice or roti. It's a very delicious item with good food value.

Sujir Upmaa (Recipe)

 Ingredients - Suji ( it's called Rava made from coarse  flour),chopped vegetables like onion,beans, potato, capsicum, chilli, tomato, carrot,fried nuts, Salt, sugar, refined oil, little water. Process - Fry dry suji or Rava particles in a frying bowl or pan, then put it differently. Then pour a little refined oil in the frying pan or koraai. Fry the chopped vegetables for few minutes. Don't fry much. Add the dry suji and salt with sugar. Add fried nuts differently. Move or stir it deeply with a khunti (spatula) or laddle. Sprinkle water in between stirring the whole material. Take a bit to taste whether it has been boiled or not. It should not be clumped with much water.  If all the things are correct then Upmaa is ready.  Serve it with Tomato ketchup. It's a very easy, tasty and nutritious dish as breakfast.
