Paayesh (Dessert recipe)
Paayesh is a popular Bengali dessert which is a bit lengthy to cook. Ingredients - Amul spray milk powder 500g, 500gGurer batashaa, 200 g Gobindo vog chaal, 50g kaaju nuts and 50g kismiss(soaked in water), a little micchri, 2 liters water. Process - Take 2 liters of water in a big bowl. Heat the water and mix the milk powder into it.Stir continuously with laddle i.e haataa in Bengali. After the milk gets a bit thicker, pour 200 g washed Gobindo vog chaal into it. Stir the mixture upto boiling point. After the rice is somewhat boiled add water soaked kaaju nuts and kismiss,stir again for few minutes. Then add Gurer batashaa and micchri to it. Continuous stirring is compulsory to cook paayesh. When the sweet smell starts to be aired,cover the bowl and turn off the gas. After a few minutes move the cover and look that your dessert is ready to serve. It's a bit reddish in colour. The quantity can be changed according to the need.
