Holi Festival (Poem)

 Holi has many colours
As we used to see,
But a fervent act is behind it,
Which we forget to plea.

Holika the monster
Was killed by the pious
Burnt by fire, destroyed
A reason to all cheer.

Radha and Krishna playing Holi
Symbolises love and colour,
Demon burnt by fire,
Is an act of valour!

As we play with many colours
On the day of Holi,
Our desire to reach heaven
Rises very high, solely.

Children get coloured
With baloon and pichkari,
A special act of joy
A Special festival, not a toy.

Special for all the world
Special for human race
Even animals should participate
Without any grim trace.
