LAKSHMI PUJA AT OUR HOME

The celebration of Kojagori Lakshmi Puja at our home is an age old tradition. This year also my husband took the responsibility to worship Mother Lakshmi and initiated a grand Party on that day.We took the Idol from our nearest kumorpara. And enjoyed the journey a lot.

All of our friends and relatives were invited to join that grand occasion.Previous seven days of Lakshmi Puja I was very busy to arrange all the things with my husband,so I couldn't write blog topics for my readers. I say sorry for that.

Here is the picture of the idol we worshipped along with our home Singhasana where everyday we worship God.Here I am displaying the images of Alpanas created by me for the Puja performed in evening time.

From the very morning of Kojagori Purnima we prepared Prasad and made Alpanas very happily. In the evening guests started coming one by one. They observed the Puja and then on our roof they went to attend the open air party.

We had our lunch and dinner on the roof, cooked by our special cook. There we had Vaat, kata daal, Aalu vajaa, labraa, shorshe Pabda and shorshe Katla, mishti etc
. At night we dined all veg- Paneer cutlet, Bhatura, stuffed potato, fried Rice, Gobi rezala, paneer curry, chutney and Papad with sweets. As starter we had Phuchka and Crispy chilli baby corn fry and Mocktail drinks.

As our floor is white, I made Pink and Red colour ready for making Alpana,as you see in the picture.

The worshipping process continued for hours by the appointed priest of our family.
People came and offered sweets to Goddess Mahalakshmi. They were spellbound to see such kind of traditional Lakshmi Puja at our home.

The home was fully decorated with flowers and lights and there was arrangement for bursting crackers. But we cut off crackers from our celebration as it's now prohibited from government's side.

The next day of Puja, our Priest came at daytime and performed the rituals to get ready for Visarjan. Dodhikorma was made by us as the last minute Prasad of vasaan.

All the ladies were busy for the preparation of Puja and all the friends and staffs of my Husband put a lot of labour to maintain the management.
On the Third day all went to the nearby jheel for the immersion of the Idol which is called Visarjan in Bengali. Then we had a little foody time and Dance time at home with close friends of us . Thus we celebrated the three days of Lakshmi Puja.

Really we are happy to perform a successful Mahalakshmi Puja and attending dear guests.
