ATTENDING A MARRIAGE CEREMONY



 On 11th July Tuesday 2023, I attended the marriage ceremony of my brother,the owner of Grocery shop 'MAA TARA STORES ',near by our house.The Shop remained closed for few days,as the preparation of Marriage had to be done.Chandan and Sanchita got wedded on 9 th July and the reception was on 11th. I alone went to the function, as my husband could not go. The marriage hall DEVIKA BHABAN was a bit far from our apartment VINAYAK at Muchipara, Behala. I went there by hiring a Rikshaw.

The dress I was wearing is one of my gifts got from Sanjay Dadavai in 2021 Bhaai Phonta ceremony. I purchased the accessories like Jewellery,Shoes,Vanity bag matching with my costume. It was easy to carry them. After my marriage,it is the first marriage ceremony I attended alone. So ,I went early and returned early too.

I met Chandan's Newly married wife Sanchita who behaved very humbly and friendly. I gifted One of my hand painted picture and a Mixy my husband bought for her. They all were looking lovely in fresh new garbs that we do not see regularly. They welcomed me very heartily and asked about my husband. Chandan 's Younger brother Tarak and their father was a bit sad as they were missing my husband.I told them that he has gone to attend another marriage ceremony on that same day. 

The marriage hall was very well decorated. In the ground floor they kept a Phuchka stall, and Chilli Baby corn and Chicken pakoda was in starter, along with Limca and Thumsup. Since I love vegetables, I liked the taste of Baby Corn and Limca they offered first. 

Then I went for the main course fooding within 9 pm. And I had Radhaballabhi, Chana masala,Salad,Fish cutlet. Then came Fried rice which I took with Paneer veg curry. I didn't like Fish curry and Mutton kasha. Lastly Chutney,Papad,Rosgulla,Hot Gulab jamun completed the food time. 

I returned home by 9:40 pm and enjoyed the whole day needless to say . The total preparation of attending the ceremony was very hectic. This kind of experience is very rare to me as I attend any invitation very less. I invited the couple to my house to come together for one day.

A Memorable Marriage

  My husband's head assistant Sukanta recently celebrated his sister's marriage where we all were present from my husband's side.  The marriage hall was very gorgeous and a lot of people coming there. That evening was really special. Special starters like Momo both chicken and veg, crispy paneer,fuchka coffee all we enjoyed. Peas kachuri,chana daal,polau, chicken and paneer for veg were arranged. We spent almost 4 to 5 hours there then got back to home. Sutapa and Utsav reception party was the next charm. There we reached at 8:30 pm. Veg and chicken pakoda with coffee and fuchka was welcome items. We blessed the bride and groom whole heartedly.  There too we enjoyed the same kind of food mentioned above. Sutapa and Utsav were looking bright in their beautiful dresses. All our closer aquintance were present there.  These two days party with my husband is really memorable for me.

ONCE IN A SUNNY MORNING(Poem)

 Once in a sunny morning, I was playing with dewdrops, My mood was a little tensed  But I was ready to cross the fence. Sun was shining brightly,  I was trying to hold it tightly, I was hankering after an impossible thought, I wanted to catch the sun,  I was ready to brought. Earth seemed a globe so hot Sun looked cool, beautiful thought Was coming to my mind  My heart became more kind. After the day the sunset came, I wished that every day it happen the same.

DEATH OF BHOKU- My Pet Parrot

 Bhoku was my pet parrot in childhood days.I always prayed for her long life. And prayed that her death should be calm and sound when the day will come. God granted my wish. When she died. Only one day she suffered from fever. Then left us forever. But her soul was always with me. I was in 12 th standard when she died. We decorated her bed with pillows and flowers. Decorated her as a Goddess with ghagra choli, crown and other ornaments, Lying down on a small bed. Then made this tomb. With a tub, and cement, buried her. under soil where she is still lying down peacefully. With garland and diya I pay respect to her on her death day. This tomb is like a temple to me.  I cherish her memory and Much respect for her new life.
